Ramón Lazkano
Composer
He studied composition in San Sebastián, Paris and Montreal; in 1990 he won the First Prize for Composition at the National Superior Conservatory of Music in Paris. He has received the Composition Prize from the Prince Pierre de Monaco Foundation and the Georges Bizet Prize from the French Academy of Fine Arts, as well as the Musika Bulegoa Prize, among others. His work crystallizes in a thought about intertextuality and silence that has given birth to emblematic pieces. Their music has been performed by the Bavarian Radio Orchestra, Radio France Philharmonic, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Musikfabrik, Ensemble Intercontemporain, L’Instant Donné, Neue Vocalsolisten, Cuarteto Diotima -among many others- in the most European and American festivals relevant.

Tolosa, 1980. Estudió composición en Musikene, Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco, con Ramon Lazkano, Gabriel Erkoreka y Stefano Scarani. Su música se ha interpretado en países como Francia, Suiza, Italia, Polonia, Suecia o Chile, en festivales y ciclos como La Biennale di Venezia, Forum Wallis, Musica Electronica Nova, Le Quartz, Sound and Music Computing Conference, Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, Fundación Juan March, Ensems, etc.
