Javier Puldain Huarte
Landscape philosopher
Donostia, 1963. Architect from the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (1989), Master’s Degree in Spatial Planning and the Environment from the University of Deusto (2002), Doctor of Architecture from the University of the Basque Country (2013). Since 1999 he has been a professor at the San Sebastián Higher School of Architecture, AGET, where he teaches the subjects of Proyectos and Paisaia & arkitektura. He is also a lecturer on the AGET enabling Master’s degree and a member of the Final Court of the University Master’s Degree in Architecture. He also teaches classes in the Master in Landscape, Heritage, Territory and City Management (Faculty of Letters, Vitoria-Gasteiz, UPV). A collegiate architect of the COAVN since 1990, he worked until 1995 in the José Ignacio Linazasoro studio in San Sebastián and Madrid. He currently shares a study with the architect Mikel Larratxe. He is the co-author of several Special Plans related to landscape protection.

1975, San Sebastian. Qualified as an Architect at the Bordeaux Landscape and Architecture School and completed a DEA post-graduate diploma in architectural projects at the San Sebastián School of Architecture. He founded the HTC Arquitectos studio and was chair of ATARI, an architecture cultural association, in its early years. I currently head the Basque Government’s Architecture and Housing Directorate.
