Evelyne de la Chenelière
Writer and playwright
She is a writer and an actress born in Montreal in 1975. Trained in the Nouveau Théâtre Expérimental, company cofounded by Jean-Pierre Ronfard, she faces the playwriting as a research laboratory. In 2006, the scene director Alice Ronfard showed in Théâtre Espace Go the play Désordre Public, with which Evelyne de la Chenelière obtained the Literary Prize from the Governor General of Canada. In 2009, both artists presented in the mentioned venue Les Pieds des Anges, obtaining the SACD Prize 2010 to the drama writing in french language. In 2011, her book Bashir Lazhar was adapted to cinema under the title Monsieur Lazhar, and was chosen for the Oscar Awards in the category of Best Foreign Language Film. With Lumières, lumières, lumières, with a staging by Denis Marleau, Evelyne de la Chenelière starts an artistic residence on Théâtre Espace Go. Her next work, La vie utile, will be presented in Espace Go in 2018, as well as in the TransAmériques Festival.

Rosa de Diego is Professor of French Literature at the University of the Basque Country. She has published several books and articles about authors, genres and works of Modern and Contemporary French Literature, as well as Quebec’s literature, mainly its theatre play. She has been the director of the encounters Arte y Cultura Bilbao Ciudad Universitaria.
