César Velasco
Epidemiologist
Madrid, 1986. Clinical Medical Doctor, specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health with a focus in Global Health. Interested in the Health Service’s transformation, the Public Health and health policies, innovation and epidemiology. He has worked for many international organizations focused in healthcare and migration issues such as European Center for Disease Control (ECDC), Hospital Clínic of Barcelona and in the World Health Organization, as a member of the working group that aims to contain the development of Ebola in Sierra Leona. He has been selected by Forbes Magazine as one of the 30 most influential young scientists under 30 in its Europe List for science and healthcare. He is Director of Innovation of the Vall d’Hebron Hospital (Barcelona) since January 2017. He is working in the challenge of transform the health care of this center through innovative care and the management of the information systems of this hospital.

University Degree in Biology and Master’s Degree in Pharmacology by the University of The Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Currently pre-doctoral student in UPV/EHU, in the field of Tissue Engineering, specifically in articular cartilage regeneration. With extensive experience in stem cells and biomaterials, she has completed an investigation stage in the Royal Institute of Technology of Stockholm.
